The next Math Saturday is May 17, at 10:00 AM in Prescott Hall, Room 205. There will be a guest speaker, games, prizes, and pizza!

GK-12 Summer Academy

To give GK-12 fellows and teachers the opportunity to interact with participants of the Summer Math Circle, the 2008 GK-12 Summer Academy will be from June 9-13 (tentatively) in Prescott Hall on the LSU campus.

 

Math Circle 2007

Math and Science Circles

The GK-12 Math Circle, Chemistry, and Engineering Circles will be held June 9 - 27, 2008. Please visit www.math.lsu.edu/mathcircle for more information.

Purpose

The GK-12 program is a subdivision of the Graduate Division of the National Science Foundation. The GK-12 program is designed to give graduate students an opportunity to make a significant impact on K-12 schools in their community. The GK-12 fellows at Louisiana State University have a variety of roles that range from teaching Advanced Placement courses to improving the algebra instruction to middle school students and offer test preparation for state mandated standardized tests.
