Want to plan an event?

All members are invited to plan their own events (with our help, of course). This experience can prepare you for an executive board position next year or for a career somewhere in the future. Here's what to do:

  1. Write down all of your ideas. Provide as many details as you can. You don't want to forget all of your good ideas.
  2. Try to describe what the event would look like if you were a student attending the event.
  3. Submit your idea to hillel@lsu.edu.
  4. Choose an executive board member, someone with experience, our advisor, or our Hillel staff member. Make them help you.
  5. Plan all the logistics. Use this Program Registration Form to help you.
  6. Create a timeline of what you need to do to plan the event. Check off things as you do them.
  7. Get Hillel to advertise via the Listserv and Facebook. Get all your friends to come.
  8. Make sure you have enough time the day of the event to take care of last minute problems.
  9. Feel like a champion when your event runs successfully!
