WORKSHOP ON HARMONIC ANALYSIS AND FRACTAL GEOMETRY

A workshop on harmonic analysis will take place in Baton Rouge

  • The workshop is supported by the Focused Research Group program of the NSF.

    The program, available titles and abstracts can be found at Program There will be two tutorial talk:

  • Dorin Dutkay and Palle Jorgensen: Computational features of wavelet algorithms adapted to a general class of problems from dynamics
  • David Larson and Peter Massopust: Wavelet sets, fractal surfaces, and Coxeter groups. Their talk can be downloaded here

    Every one is invited. Local costs will be covered AS LONG AS MONEY IS AVAILABLE.

    For those that would like to do some sight seeing in Louisiana: THIS IS MARDI GRAS TIME and there will be a break in the program on Saturday so that participant have the time and opportunity to go to the Spanish town parade around noon on Saturday.

    Participants are invited to stay longer for discussion and work. Dorin Dutkay will give a Colloquium talk on Wednesday, February 22 and David Larson will give a Colloquium talk on Thursday, February 23.
