Industrial Workshops
- Mathematical Modeling in Industry XII August 2008
I was part of a group looking at denoising spectra from MALDI-TOF spectrometers. We looked at modelling the noise in a background spectra with no analyte. Using this, we attempted to segment the analyte's spectrum in order to denoise according to local behavior of the noise.
A report is available from the IMA here.
- Industrial Mathematical & Statistical Modeling Workshop for Graduate Students
August 2006
I worked with a group on predicting website volumes. We developed a solver for predicting volumes using weighted moving averages of velocity and states of the data.
A research report is available here in the 2006 report.
