I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Wayne State University since Fall 2018.  My areas of research are algebraic geometry, number theory, quantum computing and quantum information science.

I am partially supported as a co-PI by the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Science, Basic Energy Sciences, under Award Number DE-SCSC0022134.

My research includes:

  • Calculation of rational local unitary invariants for mixed quantum states, using methods from geometric invariant theory.
  • Minimal integral models for modular representations of modular tensor categories (integral topological quantum field theory).
  • Hecke operators for topological modular forms.
  • Riemann surfaces with complex multiplication (CM).
  • Algebraic and geometric models for classical and p-adic modular forms, modular forms of half-integral weight, harmonic Maass forms and vector-valued modular forms.

My research papers can be found by navigating the menu.

Together with Alex Matos Abiague we launched in 2019  ‘Introduction to Quantum Computing’ (Math/Phys 6480, CSC 5991), the first course on this topic offered at Wayne State. The course has been running every year since, alternating in even/odd years between the Physics and Math Departments.

Here is my CV.
