My main research interests are mathematical modeling in dynamic
fracture mechanics,
fluid dynamics (supercavitating flow),
and scattering of sound and electromagnetic waves.
I am particularly interested in the development of exact and approximate methods for
the vector RiemannHilbert boundaryvalue problem,
difference equations with variable coefficients,
singular integral equations, and applications of the theory
of automorphic functions and
Riemann surfaces to model problems in applied mechanics
and nonlinear physics.
