Travel & Lodging Information

Charleston International Airport (CHS) is about 9 miles from campus.

Hotels: Please book early. Hotels off the Charleston Peninsula within about 15 minutes drive of the campus include hotels in West Ashley and in Mount Pleasant. Try Hotels.com or the College website.

Local Information

Campus Information: The workshop will be held at Harbor Walk, 360 Concord St, Charleston, SC 29401. The main lecture room is HWWE 213. For a map and building information, click here. For a general campus map, click here.

Parking Information: There are two parking garages at or near the building:

  • 24 Calhoun Street: this garage, located across the street from the Harbor Walk building, is owned by the city and is typically used by the college for Harbor Walk events.
  • Harbor Walk garage: located under Harbor Walk with the entrance on Concord Street near the corner of Charlotte. This garage is smaller but free on Saturday and Sunday.

College of Charleston Library Parking Lot “AD” on Pitt Street has free spots on Saturday and Sunday—do not park in spots marked faculty or with other restrictions. See the evening and weekend parking here.
