Conference Hotel
The conference hotel is:
The Cook Hotel at LSU
3848 West Lakeshore Drive
Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70808
1-225-383-COOK (2665)
www.thecookhotel.com
We are reserving a block of rooms at Cook (with check-in May 7 after 3:00 PM, and check-out May 10 or 11 by 11:00 AM). Details coming soon. Let the organizers know if you wish to arrive or depart on days other than the above.
While we have no funds for your accommodations during the conference, we can arrange for a savings of \$30-\$40 per night if the payment for the room originates with LSU. To make this happen, Dr. Delzell can accept money from you via Venmo (@Charles-Delzell) or Paypal (using his address: delzell@math.lsu.edu). Any money received will be deposited in an LSU account and used to pay the hotel. Alternatively, you may write a check payable to "LSU" and send it to Charles Delzell at the address below, to be received by us no later than Monday, April 6, 2026.
Here are the prices if you pay LSU:
King Bed: \$126/night.
Two beds: \$126/night.
You can see pictures of these types of rooms at www.thecookhotel.com.
Each additional person in a room beyond the first two will pay an extra \$12/night. Prices include a hot breakfast.
The hotel will hold this block of rooms for us until Tuesday, April 7, 2026,
after which it will release any unreserved rooms for sale to the general public.
If you are willing to pay the normal (higher, non-LSU) rate on hotel rooms, you may pay the hotel directly (by credit card or other means), but no later than April 7.
Registration Fee
Registration fee: \$50.00. This will cover refreshments served during the conference and a catered dinner at the Delzells' house on Friday. The fee will be collected on the first day of the conference.
Travel
How to get to LSU: If you let us know several days in advance when your plane will land at the Baton Rouge airport (BTR), we'll try to pick you up. A taxi, if used, costs approximately \$25-\$30 from the Baton Rouge airport to the Cook Hotel. Uber costs \$20-\$30. If you're driving to Baton Rouge, check Google maps.
