Indian Mounds C Lot (LSU Parking map) is next to Lockett Hall and is free on weekends.
Rooms for the participants have been reserved at the Staybridge Suites just south of LSU's Campus (4001 Nicholson Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70808, 225-456-5430). Check-in/out dates are April 7th-10th. For changes, please let one of the organizers know . Lodging for invited guests will be paid by the organizers directly. If you travel with family, you might be asked to pay the extra cost. Check with our department manager Praveen Mudunuri during registration for reimbursement allowance.
From the hotel to Lockett is a 20-minute walk. For shared rides from the Staybridge Suites, please meet Saturday 8:15a.m. (Sunday 8:30a.m.) at the Hotel Lobby. If you have a car, we appreciate you give a ride. One organizer will be there to coordinate.
The Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport (BTR) is very conveniently located close to downtown Baton Rouge and to the LSU campus. The best way to reach the LSU campus (including the Staybridge Suites) from BTR is by taxi (about $20 ride). There are always taxis available at the terminal.
For those wanting to explore the Baton Rouge area, a car rental is recommended. The organizers will also make an effort to provide rides for local transportation. The main taxi company is Yellow Cab, and Uber also operates within the city.
