Silvia Jimenez, Zuhal Yeter, and Anna Zemlyanova, with Prof. Brenner's help, wrote a proposal during the summer 2009 to organize a SK Day at LSU. On October 8th, 2009 we received a letter from AWM with the news that the proposal was approved and we were awarded $1500 for support of the SK Day. But on November 20th, 2009 we received an email notifying us that the AWM had to rescind the award. Luckily, the LSU VIGRE Program decided to help us by funding the activity. We will need the collaboration of all the members to make this activity a success!
