After about 2 hours of joint work and wholeclass discussion, teachers were asked to write an update of their thinking.  The Inches and Centimeters task is really asking you to think about other people's thinking. Rebecca Saxe's lab at MIT does research about humans' ability to reason about other humans' thoughts.
