Math 1023 is only offered in Fall and Spring semesters.
A combined Algebra and Trigonometry course on function properties and graphs; inverse functions; linear, quadratic, polynomial, rational, exponential and logarithmic functions with applications; systems of equations; trigonometric functions and graphs; inverse trigonometric functions; fundamental identities and angle formulas; solving equations; triangles with applications; polar coordinate systems.
This course can be used to meet five credit hours toward the general education requirement for analytical reasoning. See the LSU general catalog for more information. This course is a General Education course in the analytical reasoning area because it includes the following area learning objectives: "LSU graduates will employ scientific and mathematical methods and technology in the resolution of laboratory and real-world problems."
