An international conference on Ordered Structures in Geometry and Analysis will be held on the campus of Louisiana State University from Friday April 5, 2019 to April 7, 2019. The conference will be dedicated to Boyd Professor emeritus Jimmie D. Lawson celebrating his 50 years as a researcher, educator, and administrator at LSU.

The conference is supported by the Department of Mathematics, LSU, NSF and Simon Foundation.

All talks will be given in Lockett Hall. Friday's sessions will be in room 233 whereas all the sessions on Saturday and Sunday will be in room 232. Lunch will be served on Saturday in the lounge and coffee will be available in front of the lecture rooms.

Travel information

The two convenient airports serving LSU are:

  • Baton Rouge metropolitan airport (BTR) is about 20 minutes drive from LSU. Taxis, Uber, and/or Lyft serve the airport.
  • New Orleans airport (MSY) is about an hour drive from Baton Rouge and can serve as as an alternative to BTR.

Lodging information

There are several hotels close to the LSU campus. The workshop will use the two hotels closest to campus:
