Jenna Carpenter (PhD 1989, LSU) elected First Vice President of the MAA

Jenna Carpenter, Louisiana Tech University, was elected First Vice President of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA). Her term will last from February, 2014 through January, 2016.

Jenna Carpenter received her PhD in Mathematics in 1989 from LSU under Professor Robert Perlis.

She is currently the Wayne and Juanita Spinks Professor of Mathematics, the Associate Dean, Administration & Strategic Initiatives, and the Director, Office for Women in Science and Engineering, in the College of Engineering and Science at Louisiana Tech.
