Michael Neilan receives Sloan Research Fellowship

Michael Neilan, who was an NSF-postdoc at LSU under Professor Susanne C. Brenner from 2009-2011, received a 2014 Sloan Research Fellowship. Michael Neilan is currently assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Pittsburgh.

After Fengyan Li (now at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute) it is the second time that one of Professor Brenner's postdocs was awarded a Sloan Research Fellowship. 

This years Sloan Research Fellowship recipients also include Ben Webster (University of Virginia), who participated in an LSU REU in 2001.
