New Faculty and Postdoctoral Associates

  • Assistant Professor Fang-Ting Tu received her D.Sc. in Mathematics from Waseda University, Japan, in 2012, and her PhD in Applied Mathematics from National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan in 2013. Her research interests lie in number theory. Before coming to LSU she was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Center for Theoretical Sciences, Taiwan.
  • Assistant Professor Jiuyi Zhu joins us from Johns Hopkins University where he was a J.J. Sylvester Assistant Professor. He received his PhD from Wayne State University in 2013. His research on Quantitative and Qualitative properties of solutions of PDEs is supported through an individual NSF grant.
  • William Hardesty is a postdoctoral associate mentored by Pramod Achar. He received his PhD in 2016 from the University of Georgia. His area of research interests is in representation theory.
  • Prashant Kumar Jha visits Professor Robert Lipton as a postdoctoral associate. He received his PhD in 2016 from Carnegie Mellon University. His visit is funded through an Army grant held by Robert Lipton.
