Math Department hosts 2013 Summer REU

For the 21st time the Math Department hosts the annual Summer Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU). From June 2 to July 26 thirteen students will be working with Professors Neal Stoltzfus, Jorge Morales and Bill Hoffman as well as postdoc Greg Muller on projects centered around the theme Invariants in Galois Theory, Geometry and Knot Theory.

This year, participating students are from Princeton, Harvard, MIT, Morehouse College, Yale, Vassar College, Carleton College, St. Mary's College of Maryland, University of Michigan, UMass Amherst, Tulane and LSU.

The REU is funded by the National Science Foundation.
