The program is for the two weeks before classes begin in the fall: Monday, August 12th through Friday, August 23rd, 2013.
Unless otherwise noted, all sessions will be held in Lockett 244.

Monday, August 12th

  • 9:30: Meet at the Visitors' Center (on the corner of Dalrymple and Highland). Parking passes will be provided to anyone who needs them.

Tuesday, August 13th

  • 7pm: Evening Social Event, Game Night

Wednesday, August 14th

  • 10:00-11:00: Topology II: Connectedness and Compactness (Peter Lambert-Cole)
  • 11:00-12:00: Topology III: Manifolds and Useful Examples (Ying Hu)
  • 12:00-1:30: Lunch
  • 1:30-2:30: Problem Session (Keisler Lounge)
  • 2:30-3:30: Graduate Student Panel: How to Survive Your First Year
  • 3:30-4:30: Ice Cream Social for All Graduate Students (Keisler Lounge, Lockett Hall)
  • 6pm: Evening Social Event, \$5 Calzone Night at Rotolo's

Thursday, August 15th

  • 7:45am: International Student Orientation (required for all international students), Cox Communications Building. Be sure to bring all required documents including passport and I-20.
  • 12:00-3:00: Advisement with Dr. Adkins
  • 6pm: Evening Social Event, Potluck Dinner

Friday, August 16th
