T.E.A.R.S. (Time-intensive Eye-tracking Analysis and Research Software) is a toolkit for analyzing eye-movement patterns. It was created as a tool to compare experts' and novices' eye-movements recorded during searching a target on a map. It uses several comparison algorithms based on
- Levinshtein Distance
- Scan-Match algorithm
- Multi-Match algorithm
- Recurrence Diagrams
and estimates Information Gain of 22 characteristics of eye-movement sequences with respect to Correctness and Level of Expertise.
